This course provides an opportunity to learn the leading graphic design software Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator has a complete set of tools that enable you to create a wide range of computer artwork. Students will explore menus, palettes, and tools they’ll move up to selection tools, layers, drawing tools, the pen tool, transformations/distortions, type tools, and modifying shapes. Class projects include: computer illustrations, CD covers, photo-realistic art, logo design, editorial illustration, and cartooning. Full color printers and digital cameras are supplied in this state-of-the-art Mac Media Lab.
